White Accessories for Fall
I can't believe fall is just around the corner! We have so much going on at our house renovation and we're doing a few more things to make the house fall-ready. I'm already excited for cool nights on the porch swing, and cozying up by our *fingers crossed* working fireplace. As our house slowly starts to come together, I'm so excited to start decorating and I simply can't wait for this holiday season to start. It's truly one of my favorite times of the year! think it's funny- for those of us in the South, a summer to fall transition usually takes a painfully slow couple of months, and then we all just start pretending it's Fall at a certain point because we bought new boots and you have to wear them sometime, even if it's with a minidress.
But...since we aren't quite there yet, I wanted to share one trend that I love for this transitional period- white accessories. I love the idea of a bright pop of white to make a fall outfit feel a little less fall and a little more summer. For a more classic approach, a white hair bow would be a darling detail to add to nearly any outfit, (I also love this larger bow) and a pair of gorgeous white earrings add an elegant touch to a neutral fall look. For a more trendy approach, white western booties would pair perfectly with a flowing fall skirt or ankle-flare jeans. Whimsical white sunnies add flare to any outfit, then top it all off with a fabulous statement making bag or simple white mule (all to be worn over again in the summertime, might I add.) It's okay that I'm justifying a fall trend as "year round", right? Right. Okay. Which accessory is your favorite? Do you like the trend or do you swear by no white after Labor Day? I'd love to hear in the comments below!
