About Toile and Tide

Toile and Tide is an editorial haven for those who seek to be inspired by timeless aesthetics.

I started in blogging back in 2012 as a sophomore in college, pursuing my degree in magazine journalism. Dreams of writing for a fashion publication, and my enchantment with the world of blogging as an intern for Camille Styles, lead me to start Toile and Tide. Though it’s gone through several iterations since it first launched, it remains a space for me to share all things beautiful and connect with those of you who share the same interests!

Professionally, I have gone from retail web design and photography to various corporate retail positions in the exciting world of buying. I am passionate about pursuing my creative interests including interior design, fashion, and travel, which I love to share here.

A little more about me

I am Massachusetts-born and Austin, Texas-raised, but now reside in Dallas, Texas. I am slowly sharing a renovation of a 1940s craftsman bungalow, which has been lovingly restored over the past couple years. I credit this house with instilling in me a feverish love for all things related to interior design, and hope to pursue that as my career one day. I am passionate about traveling and will jump at the chance to jet away on a new adventure, especially if it’s in Europe. I love cooking and can often be found in kitchen at the end of the day, stirring pasta with one hand and holding a glass of wine with the other. Fashion and design fuel me, and I am on a never-ending journey to to fine-tune my wardrobe. Best of all, I am a dog mom to Josie, the friendliest blue heeler puppy who is the light of my life.
